It's very difficult to see Rio de Janeiro, such a "summer-ey" city like this: dim, gloomy under a soft and persistent rain and fog. It's like London had come upon us. Once Fernando Pessoa said that Lisbon was a city like no other under the rain, it "tingled". I loved the image - a city tingling under rain. I think it matches Rio perfectly. While other cities are just about the sam, Rio is a whole new thing under unfavorable weather.
This is a view from Museu Chácara do Céu, in Santa teresa - iconic neighborhood in the city. Taken with my Zenit 122, with Helios 44M-7 lenses and a B&W Fomapan 400 film.
